So what is Tea?

health benefits of tea

Traditional teas all come from varieties of the camellia sinensis plant. That includes black, green, oolong, white and pu-erh. The difference lies in the preparation process after the leaves are harvested. Pu-erh tea is the only one to be fermented and is made from green or black tea.

Herbal teas are not technically tea because there are no tea leaves from the camellia sinensis plant. Herbals include herbs, botanicals and fruits.

Blends are also increasingly popular and include traditional teas blended with herbal varieties.

Now that we have a basic understanding of this amazing drink, let’s discuss just a few ways it can help your health and wellbeing.
