  1. Frankincense– This earthy aroma has a slightly sweet, warm, spicy kick to it. It is widely used for its calming, relaxing and grounding abilities.

  2. Bergamot - A complex citrusy scent with a slight floral note. Contains Linalyl Acetate which contributes to its amazing relaxing properties. Lavender and Clary Sage also contain Linalyl Acetate….

  3. Lavender- This wonderful versatile oil has sedative properties and helps with stress, anxiety and sleep.

  4. Clary Sage- This earthy scent works great in blends and is a go to for relaxation.

  5. Sweet Orange- Sweet and citrusy. What more can I say, it’s “feel good” in a bottle. Reach for this when you are feeling anxious and ready to relax.

  6. Roman Chamomile- The benefits of this oil are extensive but its use for anxiety is unparalleled. Try it when experiencing intense fear, anger or even irritability. You can’t go wrong with the crisp and herbaceous scent.

A great way to get started using these oils is with some amazing Relaxation Blends. It is so important to have these at the ready anytime you feel stressed or anxious.

I know how hard it is when anxiety show up, and always at the worst time when you are overwhelmed and crazy busy. So having some solutions that you can implement quickly is going to be just what you need.

How to Quickly get Relief from Anxiety

Getting quick results is key when you are feeling anxious and stressed. So the best method is going to be inhalation. Smelling the oils directly affects the limbic system of the brain so you can quickly get into that feel good state. Just breathing in these calming oils will have you relaxed and grounded to help you get on with your day.

Whereas the effects will be felt more slowly when using the oils topically with a carrier oil. Topical use on the skin is best for such things as skin issues, pain, muscle soreness or injury.

You can try just opening the essential oil bottle and breathing in the calming aroma! I keep some bottles next to me while I work for quick relief!

You can even take your oils and add them straight into these inhaler sticks to create a custom DIY blend that you can carry around with you. I always have some in my purse.

Keep the oils or inhalers by your bed and reach for them during the night, if you need. Keep an inhaler or 2 in your purse for easy access for those stressful moments. Like when you are balancing 10 things on your plate at once.

Find a quiet place, and just inhale and BREATHE!

You can also try diffusing the oils in a diffuser to get the benefits. I recommend only diffusing for 30 minutes at at time and not diffusing around pets or babies under 6 months old. For more info, check out my full guide on safely using essential oils for kids. Only some oils are safe around dogs. Plant Therapy labels all of their oils so you know if they are safe around pups.

And don’t forget to use the ones that smell great to you for maximum benefit! I only recommend products I personally use and recommend to my clients so you can rest assured you are getting the highest quality best oils.
